Reset outlook password if you forgot outlook password

The Outlook mailing service came into picture due to the customers’ propensity to access their mail accounts even in offline mode. Owing to the mobile nature of the customers, they tend to save many of their important transactions, communications and documents in the form of mailers. Therefore, there was an increased interest in the minds of the customers to access their mail boxes even in offline mode. Outlook serves this purpose. Users can link their primary email address to outlook such that after every refresh, Outlook saves the state of the mail box in the local storage units. These storage files are then accessed and the mail box is re-initialized. Customers can face problems in logging in to Outlook mainly due to connection or password issues. There may be times when due to incorrect or abrupt shut downs of systems, the restore file gets corrupt. In other times, customers change the password of the associated account, due to which access via outlook becomes a problem. In all these cases, customers can get in touch with Outlook Customer Care team who authenticates the user and then deciphers the nature of the issue. Based on the nature of the problem, the request is then transferred to the password recovery team of Outlook.

Users using Outlook can recover their password either by following the simple set of steps, or by calling the customer care support. Customers can click on the hyper link “Reset your password” which is displayed on the log in screen. Post this; the user needs to enter the reason of password reset. As a part of the authentication process, users need to enter the email address corresponding to the account for which the Outlook account was created.  Or else, in case the customer does not remember the alternate email address, they can also use a phone number which was registered to the account. The verification code is then sent to the users, and then uses the code to recover the password.  The users, however, are requested and advised to change their password in the first log in itself so that these are not tracked and mal-used.
